Clomid (Clomiphene) is a brand name estrogen modulator used to treat infertility. It is also sold under the name Serophene.
This oral tablet is used in a recovery phase for bodybuilders to stimulate the production of luteinizing hormone (LH) – a signal your body uses to produce testosterone normally. Use of anabolic steroids replaces natural testosterone, Clomid re-starts production.
Clomid causes nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, breast tenderness (though actually used to treat gynecomastia in adolescents), vision problems and headaches.
